Cakwe Udang Mayonnaise (Prawn Stuffed Chinese Donut)

Ingredients
  

Cakwe

  • 5 pair Chinese Donut

Prawn Mixture

  • 250 g Peeled Prawn
  • 3 tbsp Tapioca Flour or Corn Flour as substitute
  • 15 g Shallot minced
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Spring Onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp White Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Sugar

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Chilli Sauce optional

Garnish

  • Sesame Seed
  • Red Chilli thinly sliced
  • Spring Onion chopped

Instructions
 

Prawn Paste

  • Roughly chop prawn into smaller pieces.
  • Combine prawn mixture and mix well.

Cakwe

  • Cut Chinese Donut into 5cm length
  • Stuff 1 tablespoon of prawn mixture into Chinese Donut.
  • Heat up oil and deep fry until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds

Air Fryer

  • Preheat air fryer to 190C
  • Spray chinese donut and prawn mixture with oil
  • Cook in air fryer for 5 minutes, flipping halfway
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds

Dipping Sauce

  • Combine all ingredients and serve together
