Ingredients
Congee
  • 1.5 cup rice
  • 15 cup water
  • 2 cm ginger (optional)
  • 2 teaspoon chicken powder
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Pork Ball
  • 500g Ground Pork
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Topping
  • Finely sliced Spring onion
  • Fried shallot
  • 1 Century Egg (Optional)
  • 10 wonton wrappers cut into 1.5 cm stripes, fried
Instructions
Congee
  1. Cook congee on stove at medium heat. Add sliced ginger (optional) and stir occasionally to avoid burnt at the bottom. Season with chicken powder, sesame oil, salt, and pepper (to taste).
Pork Ball
  1. Mix all ingredients, then form small balls (2.5 cm diameter).
  2. Once congee is almost done, poured pork ball in and cook for another 10 minutes (until cooked thoroughly).
Serving
  1. Serve congee with topping to your liking.
