I have a curry plant at the back of my house which has been there since I moved in. I thought I would utilize it by making this fabulous Malaysian comfort food. There were indeed many unfamiliar ingredients like turmeric, galangal or lemon grass that made me scratched my head. But it was actually fun experimenting with these little. The fragrance of frying these little fellows was beyond comprehension. I indulged my senses in their seductive aroma as it started to fill the room. Then I slowly simmered chicken drumsticks in rich coconut milk and bubbles started to emerge like hot lava coming out from volcano. And thirty minutes later, it’s all done. I scooped them into a simple white bowl: two juicy drumsticks, a few melting-in-mouth potatoes and generous amount of red rich gravy. And served it with hot steaming rice. All I need after that was to find a way to scrub my turmeric stained fingers.
